Lo Sporting Birds Club of Italy nasce con l'intento di incrementare e diffondere l'allevamento dei Galli di tipo combattente da esposizione. Questi uccelli sono tra i più puri ed antichi che siano mai stati selezionati dall'uomo, ed è un nostro dovere proteggerli, sia per salvaguardare il loro prezioso patrimonio genetico, sia per il legame storico-culturale  che li lega alla nostra evoluzione. 

Grazie alle loro spiccate doti caratteriali, di resistenza ed adattabilità, questi splendidi animali hanno attraversato i millenni giungendo sino a noi ancora intatti nelle loro caratteristiche psico-fisiche. 
Purtroppo, la recente diffusione di false informazioni riguardo le loro caratteristiche etologiche, ed un crescente "monopolio" delle razze e degli incroci selezionati per le produzioni alimentari concepite a livello intensivo, hanno messo in serio pericolo la sopravvivenza di questi animali. E' intenzione dello Sporting Birds Cub of Italy impegnarsi nella salvaguardia di questi formidabili "atleti piumati" diffondendo utili informazioni riguardo loro allevamento e la loro selezione, nonchè promuovendo il recupero genetico/culturale legato al potenziale zootecnico e sportivo legato a questi animali.

"ALLEVARE PER PRESERVARE" è il motto di ogni volenteroso, disposto a difendere almeno una delle tante razze oggi gravemente minacciate di estinzione.

The sporting Birds Club of Italy was founded with the intention of increasing the breeding and selection of gamefowl breeds. These birds are among the purest and oldest that has ever been selected by man, and it is our duty to protect them to preserve this valuable genetic stock and for the historical and cultural bond that links them to our evolution.

Thanks to their remarkable qualities of character, endurance and adaptability, these magnificent animals have passed through the millennia still intact in their psycho-physical characteristics. Unfortunately, the recent spread of false information about their ethological characteristics, and an emerging "monopoly" from breeds and crosses selected for intensive food production, put at serious risk the survival of these animals. Are intention of the Sporting Birds Club of Italy trying to save these formidable "featherred athletes" by spread correct information about their breeding and their selection.

"BREEDING TO PROTECT" is the motto of every willing ready to defend at least one of the many breeds now seriously threatened with extinction.
